Wow thankyou very much! The dress was tough as the original was quite heavy looking I thought the light dress would be cheekier and reflect her attitude a bit better! Less homely.

Thankyou very very much for the fav! Its great being appreciated!

I may even take some commissions soon, but I might try colour first! dunno.

great job with the pencils again. you use them so well using all shades from dark, dark to like white. yay.

Thanks! Im definitely getting better now, which is good to see. Got one more in the pipeline so that'll hopefully turn out well.

How you getting on?
:iconrushstarfire:
can't wait to see it. I'm at school now so no scanner for acouple months. probably be too busy for much art anyway. how about you?

Thoughts on this .... I wish I was as good at posting creative comments as you are, but I'm not, yet still, I have to give it a try here ... Your tecnique is perfect. Your shading is perfect. The propertions of the girl are perfect... It's all perfect. I took years to make my shades what they are now, and they are not seemingly as beautiful as these. See? I suck at comments. It's the thought that counts, though, so they say.
:iconfeellikemore:
Oh thankyou very very much! It's a copy of a Gil elvgren painting, but I did change pretty much everything about it except the pose.

I made her legs a bit chunkier (more to my taste ;), hair fuller and face much rounder, also the dress is a lot lighter material and hugs her figure more! Struggled with the teeth AS ALWAYS! haha

The shading is good, but very not perfect! The original drawing is bigger so it looks better compressed, but I did not make any photoshop adjustment except a few to get rid finger prints on the paper and some marks from my scanner.

I've been experimenting so long it's great just to sit down with a pencil and do what I'm good at, kinda reassuring!

Thanks so much for the comment, really really helps me just now :)
:iconfalcoalba:
It helps you just now? Then I am glad I decided to post a comment anyway :)
To me, the shading is perfect, maybe not compared to the painting, but to someone who hasn't seen the original, it really is. What do you use for the smooth effect?
